As president and CEO of Garrett & Robinson, Joe advises organizations, families and individuals who wish to enhance and preserve their wealth. He strives to give his clients an insightful and enjoyable experience of bringing all aspects of their financial life under one roof.

His firm has been chosen as west Georgia’s Financial Advisor of the Year by the Times-Georgian’s Best-of-the-Best Review (award based on nominations by readers of the Times-Georgian, 2016).

Furthermore, in 2019 Joe was recognized with the coveted Patriot’s Club Award which recognizes the top 8% (based on annual production) out of 16,000 plus advisors affiliated with LPL Financial, a Fortune 500 company and the largest independent broker/dealer in the country according to Financial Planning Magazine, June 1996-2021, based on total revenues. In 2020 he was a recipient of the industry’s Five Star Professional award*.

Joe has more than 22 years of experience in the financial investment industry. He holds Series 7, 63, 65 and 24 registrations with LPL Financial. His Series 24 registration, General Securities Principal, allows him to supervise other financial professionals. Additionally, Joe specializes in insurance planning and risk management. His expertise in retirement planning, asset management, estate planning and financial planning provides clients, both individuals and businesses, with a sound and thoughtful future.

Joe and his wife Ali have four boys—Turner, Will, Charlie and Henry. He is a dedicated family man who’s active in his community and enjoys serving several local and national charities and nonprofit organizations, both as part of the mission at Garrett & Robinson and on his own. While at the University of Georgia in the 1980s, he held leadership positions and continues to be active in the University of Georgia Alumni Association.

He’s a past president of the Carroll County Sertoma Club, former chairman of Circles of West Georgia, former commissioner on the City of Carrollton Zoning Board, volunteer pianist for Tanner Medical Center’s Harmony for Healing program, past board member of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, past member of the Oak Mountain Academy Board of Trustees and former senior warden of St. Margaret’s vestry board of directors. Presently, he’s an active member of the Rotary Club of Carrollton and Sunset Hills Country Club.

As a local columnist for the Times-Georgian, Joe has been awarded Best Columnist by the Georgia Press Association multiple times. He’s also the author of the book “Easy to Love.”

In his spare time, Joe enjoys bicycling, golf and playing the piano and guitar.

Joe’s family has been serving the financial needs of citizens in the West Georgia area for more than 60 years. His father, Jimmy Garrett, recently retired from a 50-year career as one of the founders of Carroll County’s largest CPA firms, Garrett, Stephens, Thomas and Fazio.

Joe’s goal for Garrett & Robinson is to provide world-class service and results through vision and experience while building trusting personal relationships with his clients.
