With almost 30 years in the investment industry, Clay’s experience includes wealth management for successful executives, business owners and affluent individuals.
Clay began his career as an investment representative with Interstate/Johnson Lane, where he remained for several years. Before forming Garrett & Robinson, he managed the investment program for Synovous Securities at CB&T Bank in Carrollton, which he built into a successful practice and managed for almost 12 years.
His firm has been chosen as west Georgia’s Financial Advisor of the Year by the Times-Georgian’s Best-of-the-Best Review (award based on nominations by readers of the Times-Georgian, 2016).
Clay holds Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations with LPL Financial. He also is a licensed insurance agent specializing in life and long-term care.
As one of the Chief Strategists for Garrett & Robinson, Clay brings his consummate knowledge of technical analysis to all facets of the investment management process.
A lifelong resident of Carrollton, Clay attended Oak Mountain Academy, Carrollton High School, and graduated from Darlington School in Rome. Clay went on to graduate with a BA in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.
Clay is the father of two daughters, Addie and Lilly and is an active member of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church.
