Joe Garrett recently participated in classes taught by Dr. Amy Cuddy and Dr. Hal Harshfield at the LPL Advisory Leaders Forum on the campus of UCLA in Los Angeles.
Dr. Cuddy is a social psychologist, bestselling author, and acclaimed keynote speaker in addition to her role as a professor. Her 2012 TED Talk, “Your Body Language May Shape Who You Are,” has more than 65 million views and is the second-most viewed of all time. Her NYT bestseller Presence has sold more than half a million copies and been published in 35 languages.
Dr. Hershfield is a Professor of Marketing, Behavioral Decision Making, and Psychology at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. His research, which sits at the intersection of psychology and economics, examines ways we can improve our long-term decisions. Hershfield publishes in top academic journals and also contributes op-eds to the New York Times, Harvard Business Review, the Wall Street Journal, and other outlets. His 2023 book, Your Future Self: How to Make Tomorrow Better Today, is currently in bookstores.
